FINAL BLOG POST EVER!!!!!!!

So for most people they probably got better as the year went on. Well I did my best in the beginning and then I got really lazy. I only did the requirements and I didn't even do most of the blogs on time. My writing style did change throughout the school year though. My vocabulary increased and I used less small meaningless words. I think that the main meaning of my blog is about never giving up on something you believe in.  "You'll never really find those perfect words, something more than just, goodbye. It's hard to remember the good times when there was just so much heartache, and they deserve more than that. They deserve more than just one single moment of sadness, so just remember, When there's enough love in our hearts to burst like a fuckin' supernova, Then there's sure as hells enough love in our heart, to spark that famous smile. We all lose someone at some point in our lives, but don't ever let go of that smile. Hold on forever, because that's our final dedication." (Asking Alexandria Dedication lyrics). Also my blog is about always being happy and looking at all the positives in life and not the negative, and when something bad happens to find the positive outlook. I always try to look at every situation brought upon me as either a challenge or positively. I also think that I live my life like that because I don't like to be sad all the time. And for me this blog has been a place for me to put how I am feeling without actually stating how I feel. I really did like that I could do that and no one really would know what I was really talking about.
This is a link to the song lyrics that i have quoted it tells us a lot about ourselves no matter what.

My Most Memorial Assignment from 9th Grade English :)

My most memorable assignment this year was the summer assignment. The reason this one stands out in my memory is because it was the fastest book I have ever read.  Also it was an easy assignment that i shouldn't have put off until August.

I am proud of my work that I did on this project because I got a 92% on it. That is the highest score that I have gotten on any assignment in class all year long. When I got that back it was the best way to start off the school year and made me think that the class was going to be easy. I thought wrong though. I saved that assignment and I will keep it forever

My Experences with Poetry!!! :)

An experience that I have had with poetry that was a good one was in 7th grade for English we had to make our own book of personal poetry that we wrote throughout the lesson. It was really fun for me to do, because I am not good at writing essays but I am a really good poet.

My attitude towards poetry is really positive. I love to write and read fun short poems. I am also very good at writing free verse poems about my feelings towards life and what is happening in it at the time.

Coflict in Romeo and Juliet

In the play there aremany different conflicts that happen throughout. One main one that relats to the love theme is how Romeo and Juliet love each other but can never be with each other.this is essentail to socitey in wihch they live because Romeo is part of the Montegue family and Juliet is part of the Capulet family. They are the two highest ranking families in Verona. Which means that their families hate each other.

Connecting to Romeo & Juliet

In the first few scenes I can connect to the way Romeo is feeling about his lover. I can relate to this because almost every time I like someone they might like me but we wouldn’t be able to be together. Or I like them and they don’t like me the same way. So in Act 1 Scene 2 when Romeo is talking about Juliet’s cousin and how she doesn’t like him because he is a Montegue he feels depressed and is in and out of love a lot.
I am keeping on track of the reading at home. I understand most of what is going on. If I do not understand something I normally text Hannah and ask her if she gets that part and if she doesn’t then I ask my mom. Most of the time those two people work and I find out what it means, if neither of them can help me I would ask my group people the next day in class and see if they can help me understand it better. Yes I feel that re-reading the reading from the night before in class the next day is helping me understand the characters personality better and I can get a better grasp on the things that the play is talking about that is hidden in the text.

What I Think Is The Main Theme From G.E. :)

I thought that Dickens overall theme or message was to not judge someone because of the way that they look or act. By this I mean someone may act mean and tough but that is what they want you to think. You cannot just be like oh they look gothic so they are emo. You have to get to know a person before you go around judging them. And as you can see throughout the novel Dickens is proving this through the main characters. This happens all the time in your everyday life. You may not realize that you are judging someone when you really are. Just because of the way you think they are isn’t how they really are and that is what I got out of the entire book was not to jugde someone because of the little bit that you know of them.

Making Connections and Posting a Picture

Pip is always saying he wants to be a gentleman after he meets Estella.just like how Pinocchio wants to become a real boy. They both want t o be something than what they already are.

Posting A Picture

In the first two stages of Great Expectations by Charles Dickens Pip has a similar life as Cinderella.  They both are living in a lower social class and then move to become a higher class person. Pip goes from living with his sister and her husband the towns’ blacksmith to a gentleman living in downtown London.  As for Cinderella she is living at home with her dads widowed wife. Once her dad has passed away her evil stepmom makes her move into the attic and made her become the maid. But then marries the Prince. The evil stepsisters are like Miss Havisham and Estella when they play with Pips emotions. As you can see these two are a lot alike in more ways then one.

Quote Blog

When Pip was younger he was irresponsible but then as the chapters went on he got more responsible. As he was becoming a gentleman, he learned proper manners and how to act properly in public and he became closer with the pale young gentleman whose name we found out later to be Herbert.

2nd Stage

During the first stage a major motif that is occurring a lot is guilt. It seems to me that the entire 1st stage is based off of the fact that Pip feels very guilty for stealing from Joe and he cannot get over it until he moves to London in the Second Stage.
When Pip moves to London to become a gentleman he becomes full of himself and discovers the pale young gentleman's real identity. As Pip becomes a gentleman he also spends more and more money than what he should be spending, this could be foreshadowing something that will happen later on in the story.

Confusion Much....

While reading Great Expectations I did not understand what the prisoner was talking to the little boy in the churchyard in chapter 1 “‘Now lookee here’ he said ‘the question is being whether you’re to be let to live. You know what a file is’ ‘Yes sir’ ‘And you know what wittles is?’ ‘Yes sir (pg 3)’” I don’t know what wittles are or what a file is.

Dishonesty in The Importance of Being Earnest

Dishonesty relates to humor because when Jack is telling Dr. Chasuble and Miss Prism that his brother Ernest has died in Paris, then Cecily comes in to tell Jack that Ernest is in the other room nobody thinks that anything strange is going on and they keep on going like normal. But when Jack first says that his brother has died Miss Prism is says “What a lesson for him! I trust he will profit by it.” Miss Prism thinks that Jacks brother will have learned a lesson from dying but he really won’t because he is “dead” and dead people can’t learn anything. Dishonesty relates to satire of social institutions by making up lies and stereotypical against the lower class people. When Miss Prism is says to Dr. Chasuble and Jack “It is, I regret to say, one of the Rectors most constant duties in this perish. I have often spoken to the poorer classes on the subject. But they don’t seem to know what thrift is.” She is saying that the poor people just keep making babies and not knowing when to stop so they can get more people in their family to work and bring in money for them. It also relates to Ernest being a name by Jack saying that when he goes into town he is going to visit his brother Ernest who doesn’t exist, and when Algernon is at Jacks country house pretending to be Jacks brother Ernest and being down in the county on his way to visit his very sick friend Bunbury. Dishonest is relating to the pursuit of pleasure because Jack is engaged to Gwendolyn as a person named Ernest and Algernon is engaged to Cecily pretending to be Jacks brother named Ernest.

Wilde is saying that dishonesty can lead to bad things. Also he is saying that when you are dishonest with you and others around you it can lead to many complications throughout life. Even if it doesn’t seem like a big deal at the time it will become harder to deal with than you would have originally hoped for.
