Connecting to Romeo & Juliet

In the first few scenes I can connect to the way Romeo is feeling about his lover. I can relate to this because almost every time I like someone they might like me but we wouldn’t be able to be together. Or I like them and they don’t like me the same way. So in Act 1 Scene 2 when Romeo is talking about Juliet’s cousin and how she doesn’t like him because he is a Montegue he feels depressed and is in and out of love a lot.
I am keeping on track of the reading at home. I understand most of what is going on. If I do not understand something I normally text Hannah and ask her if she gets that part and if she doesn’t then I ask my mom. Most of the time those two people work and I find out what it means, if neither of them can help me I would ask my group people the next day in class and see if they can help me understand it better. Yes I feel that re-reading the reading from the night before in class the next day is helping me understand the characters personality better and I can get a better grasp on the things that the play is talking about that is hidden in the text.

What I Think Is The Main Theme From G.E. :)

I thought that Dickens overall theme or message was to not judge someone because of the way that they look or act. By this I mean someone may act mean and tough but that is what they want you to think. You cannot just be like oh they look gothic so they are emo. You have to get to know a person before you go around judging them. And as you can see throughout the novel Dickens is proving this through the main characters. This happens all the time in your everyday life. You may not realize that you are judging someone when you really are. Just because of the way you think they are isn’t how they really are and that is what I got out of the entire book was not to jugde someone because of the little bit that you know of them.
